yahoo!! I think Cindy needs to have a look at this Blog page... if she did, she'd have known yesterday that we have visitors coming!! I'M SO EXCITED!! Also, a weekend visit this spring and summer is definitely in the cards for us... everything looks so fun......it's impossible to decide!

Weekend Visit

Hi all.

I've been looking into Ithaca Events Calendars while working hard at work, and there are a bunch of festivals starting in the spring and running until late fall that would make for an ideal long weekend trip for Midwesterners looking to get away.

Ithaca Festival is the largest and runs June 19th -June 22nd.

Ithaca Brew Fest is held in early September.

Other festivals include a Dragonboat festival, several winery fests, a coffee festival, an apple harvest festival, a strawberry fest, a maple fest, a grassroots festival, and the list goes on. Also any weekend is good for winery and brewery tours or waterfall hiking.

Also of interest might be my find of affordable flights from Minneapolis, in case anybody is interested.

We're excited to have people visit and were excited to see you all this weekend!

Well I thought someone else might post something once in awhile, but they haven't... so here I am again... The top picture is just of little Abey, of course, and the bottom is of us last Saturday at the Ithaca ChiliFest. It was a little chilly that day, about 25 degrees, but it was fun. We bought tickets and each chili sample was one ticket, they also had wings and beer and wine for a ticket each. As you can see from the picture Baela was a little trooper and Charlie was being a bit sensitive the closer we got towards naptime, but we made it work and it was fun to get a feel for what its like here in the summer when they have some kind of festival or music/bands in the commons almost every weekend. On another note, Sham and I closed on our house yesterday! It was fun, we went out for dinner afterwards (and ice cream too, of course) and now its final. Yikes! We love you, have a great day ya'll!

What a fantastic idea!! We miss you so, so much too, and I personally wouldn't mind seeing a new video of the kids at least once a week, they're getting so big :) Elliot and I were looking through old pictures, and found some of "Baby Baela" Where has the time gone? We received the package the other day, perfectly dry...Thank you. :o) I also noticed that there are pictures of all of the Funk family posted except for you Christina....hmmm, I may have to fix that!
